With its flora & Fauna amidst the mountainous terrain the State of Sikkim beckons one and all. Here's a sneak peak.

Nestled in the Himalayas, Sikkim is a picture perfect  state that is connected to the rest of India through West Bengal in the south. The Thumb shaped state has a population of over 6 lakh. The states capital city is Gangtok.
The Entire state of Sikkim is mountainous. There are 28 mountain peaks and more than 90 glaciers , and high altitude lakes. Sikkim, is know for its natural beauty. besides the hilly terrain the varied flora & fauna makes it an attractive destination for the tourists.

Activities: Trekking, mountaineering, river rafting, etc.
Places of Interest: Bakthang waterfalls, Different Monasteries, RUMTEK being the most important, Wadhan caves, Aritar Lake, elephant Lake - Nathula.
How to visit: Nearest airport is Bagdogra in West Bengal( 124 kms.)Railway station in Siliguri, also private buses and taxi's operate between Gangtok & Siliguri
Best time to visit: Between March and May, the state sees heavy rainfall till early October. Winter is severe.
